Not content with staying in Macon jobless and homeless after being booted from their tent, Jackie joined Timmy in his car on a cross-country trip this summer. They got by with the help of fellow drifters, the kindness of strangers and their cardboard sign. "We met lots of nice people, but we also met lots of real mean ones too," Jackie said.
