The walk to and from school takes 20 minutes for Rhianne, 9, and Remington, 7, Johnson, but it speaks volumes about the challenges they face every day.

Clint Johnson, is working through issues with drug addiction. He has the added pressure of keeping a job despite having a 10-year driver's license suspension. Grandmother Pattie has stepped in and provided a home for her son and grandchildren. She tries to fill the gaps for a mother who is not around much, while also helping Clint when he needs transportation.

Through it all, Rhianne and Remington are doing their best to have a normal life as they grow up in the small town of Clinton, Missouri.
