After a thirteen-year battle with cancer, Michelle Fessler's husband Ed died suddenly in March of 2011 after suffering a massive bilateral stroke. In his absence, Michelle is the sole breadwinner and caregiver for her 25-year-old son, Travis, who was injured in an ATV accident five years ago.

Travis is unable to work because of mental disabilities that were caused by the accident. Michelle’s daughter Tiffany works as a dental hygienist and is marrying her longtime boyfriend at the end of October.

Travis likely will have to live with his mother for the rest of his life. If Michelle is ever unable to care for Travis, the responsibility of his care will fall on Tiffany.
