"It's not the job that makes a man, it's you who make who you are," said Alan Harrell when asked why he became the groundskeeper of the Troy Cemetery after working as a high school agricultural science teacher for 30 years. Harrell has been working part time at the cemetery since 2011. He takes care of the cemetery 40 hours per week. He says he has immense respect for this job. His parents died in a motor accident in may, 2011 He says he has come to terms with the loss gradually and now leads a simple and happy life.
