Evelia is an immigrant from Mexico who settled in the small town of Cuba, Missouri 15 years ago. Despite the struggles and hardships she finally opened her own hair salon last December, built by her husband and son. Through hard work and genuine kindness, many people in the community frequent her salon for her service. This year's election have brought immigration to the forefront of election debate and immigrants such as Evelia and her husband who has become a citizens of United States have brought many skill and resources to small towns across America.
