Mark Runyan lives by the Bible. “It helped me get over what I’ve been through. And instead of the desire to revenge, it showed me forgiveness and love.”

After a failed marriage, 50-year-old Mark Runyan decided to move back to Eldon, Missouri, to rebuild his life. The award-winning powerlifter, and published comic artist, currently works as a custodian at the First Baptist Church in Eldon. After almost 15 years of his divorce, Mark met Mary, a 47-year old kind warm-hearted woman, and fell in love with her. They got married and together they take care of Mark’s 20-year-old son, Lucas, who has Down syndrome, while navigating faith, love and survival.
