Christy Rehagan, 48, leads fitness classes for retirees at the YMCA while forming friendships with female city leaders.

Christy and her husband Kyle moved their family to Boonville in 2007. Twelve years later, their eldest son Luke is away at college. Will, 17, and Maggie, 14, are still home and attend Boonville High School. Will’s best friend Ulysses also lives with the family while his parents are away.

“When we first moved to Boonville, I thought I’d be going back to Columbia every day, but that didn’t happen,” Christy says. “I have wonderful friends here. We’ve been really happy. It’s a good place to live.”
