Karl Yu returned home from University of Pacific after his junior year to San Francisco to help run his parents’ Sweetheart Florist business. Social distancing guidelines have limited the range of funeral services, directly impacting a business already running on thin margins. Karl and his family are adapting to the changing landscape of funeral services during a global pandemic. Working on the periphery of death, Karl Yu emits a genuine joy for life. Even as his family's florist business navigates the rocky waters of a global pandemic, he continues to look at life as a blessing.
