Kirsten Stidsholt works with crafts that are usually male-dominated on the small island of Fanø where there is a long history of sailors and self-dependent women. Men went on the sea for work and the women were left to take care of the homes and fields. But the dynamic and needs have changed in modern times, and Stidsholt lives a self-sufficient lifestyle selling agricultural products, cooking and teaching about nature's offerings.
