Al Morris, 79, didn’t know what to do with himself when his wife died. One day, the distinguished former police officer, Vietnam-war veteran and horse-lover packed up his life and moved into his older brother Gene’s house. Gene, 88, lost his wife six years earlier. “If you don’t keep busy, you get old. I’m going the other way - I get younger every day,” Gene said. Now, he helps Al cope by going to the workshop together and staying busy. “He tries to help me out quite a bit, and I need that. And he needs it too,” said Al.
