John takes a rare break from his work while his father attends a wedding. He rests here for under a minute on the couch and expresses a little guilt for being lazy while his father is away. John is the most likely of Jacob's 4 sons to take over the family furniture business because his older brothers work away from home. Less than a year from being able to decide how he wants to live his life, John firmly states no interest in leaving the Jamesport Amish Community.
