Each morning, Chris walks out with each of his children to see them board the school bus, something he insists he will always be a part of. Drug Court has deemed his living situation unhealthy by assuming that Deeahana’s involvement with drugs will threaten his stability, and is forcing him to either move out or go to jail. “They can tell me to move, I can sleep somewhere else,” Chris says, “but I’m gonna be there to put my kid on the bus.”
