Last August, after 34 years of marriage Bob, 58, lost his wife Tina, 55. “Cancer took her life but it didn`t destroy us,” Bob said.
Tina had been in remission from non-Hutchinson lymphoma for 12 years when she was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), last winter.
"We know that the experimental treatments Tina endured to eradicate the lymphoma is likely the cause of MDS but in many ways we consider the cancer a blessing. Because it reminded us to live fully every day of our lives.”
Tina was an inspirational figure in Platte City and her legacy lives on throughout the community. She will be best remembered for her love of all children and her life-long work to help every child reach their full potential.
