Five years ago, a father and a son, set out to make a business of hand rolling premium cigars. The shop took on a life all its own. It’s more than just a place for people to come and have a cigar. It's a social club.
“By and large, people don’t want to be alone. Everybody wants a place to fit in,” says co-owner Corey Frisbee. He and his son Colton wanted men, women and families to feel welcome in their shop that sits in the lower level of the historic Weston Burley House #1.
From tourists to locals, visitors to the Weston Tobacco Company aren’t just customers. They’re a part of the fellowship of the cigar. When Corey and Colton took possession of their new space in the Weston Burley House #1, his customers came together and helped them refinish the space. They wanted to help build the shop where they knew they would always be welcome.
Sometimes Corey or Colton are at private events, hand rolling their cigars for clients, other times they’re teaching tourists about the finer points of premium cigars. At the end of the day, they’re all together, and that is the point: the fellowship of the cigar.
