Sergeant First Class Paul Thompson has spent more than 27 years in the Army National Guard. Known as ‘P.T.’ to many in his community, Thompson brings his dedication and passion for service to Grill Sergeant Barbecue, his food truck business that has become a Maryville staple. Business has thrived as a result of Thompson’s work ethic, he serves as owner, CEO, head cook, cashier, wait staff, and cleaning crew. While the food truck and catering business has been good to Thompson, ‘Grill Sergeant’ soon enters a new phase. Thompson is renovating a restaurant on Maryville’s downtown square to provide a permanent home for Grill Sergeant Barbecue.
