In
August 2002, Adam Williams traded in his battle dress uniforms, beret and
Army machine guns for sandals, long hair and Canons. Trading his trigger
squeeze for a shutter release, he is pursuing his photography dreams that
first gripped him as a child when he used cheap point-n-clicks. A Missouri
native, he left home for several years to earn his B.A. in Business Administration
from Graceland College in Lamoni, IA and to try on the Army lifestyle for
four years. While enjoying assignments from the Pacific to the Atlantic
and spending a year in East Asia, he spent his free time chasing the unrelenting
urge to make pictures. But trial and error and Photography for Dummies could
only last so long. He returned to his home state and entered the Missouri
School of Journalism in January 2003. Returning home also enabled him to
pass on the shutterbug to the next generation--his two teenage nieces and
two-year-old nephew, Luke. He hopes to learn enough to graduate by May 2005.
This gives him time to get Luke solidly on his own photographic feet before
departing Missouri once again in pursuit of the next adventure. |
